Like the play by Samuel Beckett, this video is marked by a certain stillness and concealment. Throughout the succession of shots of this immobilized wandering, we discover a society « hyper » civilized by a multitude of entertainments from which it seems no longer to derive any pleasure.
A hotel room is filled by the ridiculous sound of a television gameshow, a fairground slumbers, children break stones on a beach. The melancholia and disenchantment grow as the video plays on. |
