CTV (READ AND WEED CENTER), 2001 A place for recycling and transforming glossy magazines
The READ AND WEED CENTER emerged during a two year artistic residency/workshop at 3bisF, an arts center located on the grounds of the Montperrin Psychiatric Hospital in Aix-en-Provence.
The Center developed in-vitro and in-vivo with the participation of patients, staff, and students from the nearby university with and went through a number of versions before stabilizing around 2003. The READ AND WEED CENTER explores alternate forms and economies that might result from the recycling of glossy magazines. Various videos show the operation of the READ AND WEED CENTER in different stages as well as products and prototypes developed within.
